'Drops of Jupiter' band Train announces summer stop at Oshkosh's Leach Amphitheater
OSHKOSH ‒ The Grammy Award-winning band Train will be coming to Oshkosh this summer at the Leach Amphitheater.
The San Francisco-based band fronted by Pat Monahan is best known for songs such as "Drops of Jupiter," "Hey, Soul Sister" and "If It's Love" will perform at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 6 at the Leach Amphitheater in downtown Oshkosh. The show will feature special guest Better Than Ezra. Doors will open at 5:00 p.m.
Train, which found widespread radio play with the song "Meet Virginia" after the release of its self-titled first album in 1998, earned the 2001 Grammy for Best Rock Song for "Drops of Jupiter." The band followed up 10 years later with another Grammy award for "Hey, Soul Sister" and has sold more than 10 million albums throughout its career.
