Dolphins rule Jaylen Waddle out of Broncos game; Robbie Chosen elevated
The Dolphins will be without receiver Jaylen Waddle for Sunday's home-opener against the Denver Broncos.
The Dolphins announced they had elevated receiver Robbie Chosen from the practice squad, then confirmed Waddle was officially ruled out.
Waddle entered concussion protocol following last weekend's victory in New England. Hopes were raised when he returned to practice on a limited basis Friday and was listed as questionable rather than doubtful.
Assuming he's not inactive, Chosen, 30, formerly Robby Anderson, will be making his Dolphins debut.

Waddle has eight receptions for 164 yards this season, ranking second on the team behind Tyreek Hill’s 255 yards. Third is River Cracraft (five receptions for 74 yards), followed by Braxton Berrios (five for 70) and tight end Durham Smythe (six for 67).
“A lot of people are gonna be shocked” to see Braxton Berrios and River Cracraft “show out Sunday if Jaylen doesn’t play,” Hill said this week.
Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa also expressed confidence in the backup receivers.
“The rest of the guys in that room, they’re ready to step up," he said. "They’re ready to play.
Linebacker Cameron Goode also was elevated to the active roster.
