Districts in Paris Plunged Into Darkness by Power Outage

Several districts of Paris, France, were plunged into darkness on Thursday, December 8, due to power cuts, local media reported.

A “technical incident" at an Enedis transformer resulted in the cutting of buried high-voltage line, a spokesperson for RTE, the manager of the electricity transmission network, told local media.

Local media reported that power was restored everywhere by around 1:30 am.

RTE said 125,000 households were deprived of electricity at the height of the incident.
