Dinosaurs invade Ashland County Fairgrounds as Jurassic Wonder drive-thru roars to life
ASHLAND − Cars lined up Saturday to experience the Jurassic Wonder dinosaur drive-thru at the Ashland County Fairgrounds.
Children leaned out of open car windows eager for a glimpse as vehicles entered the fairgrounds at the livestock gate entrance and slowly drove down the midway to see the 10 different dinosaur displays.
Jurassic Wonder is an animatronic dinosaur show where robotic dinosaurs come alive as if in a movie. They move their heads and tails or flap wings and make sounds demonstrating what the creatures might have sounded like when they roamed the planet.
The dinosaur displays included two Tyrannosaurus rex dinosaurs, as well as Triceratops, Carnotaurus, Pteranodon, Stegosaurus, Velociraptor, Iguanodon, Wuerhosaurus and Parasaurolophus.
There was also a free audio tour that was accessible via smartphones, which offered educational information about all of the dinosaurs on display.
Jurassic Wonder continues from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Ashland County Fairgrounds.
