Yes, she's his daughter. Trinity Rodman's relationship with her father, Dennis Rodman, has been rocky in general. He was absent for much of her childhood and owed child support for her and her brother, D.J., though since he got sober, things have improved somewhat.

In 2021, when her father surprised her at a Washington Spirit game, she posted about the emotional experience on Instagram.

"My dad doesn’t play a big role in my life at all and most people don’t know that, we don't see eye to eye on many things," she wrote. "I go months if not years without his presence or communication. Being in spotlights has been hard for us, him and me. We don't have the best relationship, but at the end of the day he's human I’m human… he's my dad, and I'm his little girl that will never change. I will improve and look forward everyday as I hope he does."

She's complimented his skills on the court, telling The Los Angeles Times, "Even if he wasn’t the first guy under the basket or he was next to Shaq [O’Neal], who was way bigger, way taller, he was going to get the rebound. It was timing, it was anticipation, it was body movement, it was positioning, it was everything. And I think he was so intelligent and I think people take that away. He was a freak of nature. He was an insane athlete, but at the end of the day, he, I think, was one of the smartest players at the time. He knew the game."

Does Dennis Rodman know his kids?

Dennis Rodman's relationships with his kids has been complicated. He didn't have a relationship with his own father growing up and has suffered from attachment issues since, he explained in a 2019 sit-down on ESPN. Rodman said he wants to be a better father, but has trouble actually doing so.

"It's very hard for me for some reason to try to break out of that cycle," he admitted. "I just think it's just one of those things where I never had anyone to ever do that [be a dad] for me, and I think sometimes, 'Why am I doing it for somebody else?'"

He added, "It's hard for me to gravitate to people like that [who are] close to me. It's difficult, even though inside I love 'em, and it hurts me when my kids say, 'It's OK dad, you can hug us, you can touch us.'"

Rodman also explained that he was used to people using him for material gain, not realizing that his own children aren't just looking for handouts. He recalled a conversation with Moyer in which she told him that their kids don't want anything from him other than for him to be in their lives. "It's hard for me to separate my kids from other people," he said. "All these years I've been giving and supplying on demand, I really haven't had any time to try to be a father, to try to be a dad, to try to be something significant to me."

Rodman also said that his kids were often bullied because he dressed in drag and wore makeup, so he distanced himself from them as a means to protect them from the criticisms that he faced.
