Dan Pitcher, Cincinnati quarterbacks coach, gets contract extension, per report
The Cincinnati Bengals have given Dan Pitcher, their quarterbacks coach since 2020, a lucrative contract extension after multiple NFL teams expressed interest in him for offensive coordinator openings, according to a report Sunday from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Pitcher was elevated to QBs coach in Jan. 2020, about three months before the Bengals selected Joe Burrow with the first overall pick in the 2020 draft. He had been an offensive assistant for Cincinnati since 2016.
Rapoport reported that Pitcher received inquiries from the Baltimore Ravens and interviewed Friday virtually with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
