An American Airlines flight attendant has been found dead in a Marriott hotel at Philadelphia airport, according to reports.

The 66-year-old woman, whose name has not yet been released, was reportedly found by housekeeping staff with a sock in her mouth at 10:45 p.m. on Monday, cites ABC News.

The Philadelphia Airport Marriott directly connects to the Philadelphia International Airport. Investigators told ABC's local affiliate Action News that there was no sign of entry or struggle. Furthermore, the woman had been scheduled to check out two days prior to the tragic discovery. Investigators labeled the death as "suspicious," but no cause of death has yet been determined.

Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small told NBC10 that it is believed that the woman had a "sudden death."

PEOPLE reached out to American Airlines, Marriott and Philadelphia local authorities for comment, but did not receive an immediate response.

"Everybody is still trying to figure out what happened and why her crew just left her," a source who works as a flight attendant for American Airlines told PEOPLE, noting they learned the woman's crew was Los Angeles-based.

"A lot of moving parts and questions right now," they added, "Very sad."

"It's very strange and it seems like a lot of unanswered questions," echoed local resident Tracee Quinn to Action News.

"That's very sad and I'm sad for her family that, you know, her body was found in a hotel," resident Patricia Watkins told the outlet.

Investigators also shared that they found "several" sealed bottles of prescriptions in the woman's hotel room, per FOX. Walter Perez, who was reporting live at the scene for Action News, noted that autopsy results are pending.
