Bird Lands On White House Reporter's Head Moments Before Live Shot
A bird rudely interrupted a reporter on Tuesday as she prepared to deliver a live report from the White House.
NewsNation’s Washington correspondent Kellie Meyer shared a clip of her brief interaction with the winged disruptor, which attempted to land on her head.
“Oh, my God! It landed on my―” she gasped.
“Yeah, I’m OK,” she told someone on her team, after several moments of stunned disbelief.
“GUYS. I know there was a lot of news today but a bird landed on my head at the White House right before I went live,” she wrote on X (formerly Twitter) alongside a clip. “He really just wanted to tune in. Our feeds room caught it and saved it of course for your viewing pleasure.”
In an interview with Inside Edition later, Meyers was told it’s good luck for that type of bird ― apparently a dove ― to land on you.
“Never expected to make news this way, but I’ll take the good luck!” she posted after the interview.
