12-year-old playing with friend shot after throwing snowball at car in Connecticut
Police in Hartford, Connecticut, are searching for the suspect who opened fire at a 12-year-old who threw a snowball at a car.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday when they discovered the injured victim, according to Hartford Police.
The juvenile victim, who was reportedly struck several times, suffered from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and was taken to Connecticut Children's Medical Center.
The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions launched an investigation into the incident.

Victim was reportedly playing with friend when shooter opened fire
Lieutenant Aaron Boisvert told USA TODAY that the incident happened after the 12-year-old threw a snowball.
According to WFSB and NBC Connecticut, the victim was playing with a friend, age 11, when the vehicle circled around and started shooting.
Police are reviewing video and other leads to aid in identifying the car and the occupants, the outlets reported. As of Friday morning, no one has been arrested in connection to this case.
