Cleveland Browns Hall of Fame Game vs New York Jets delayed after lights go out
Thursday’s Hall of Fame Game between the Cleveland Browns and New York Jets at Tom Benson Stadium endured a delay after the lights in the stadium went out.
With time expiring in the third quarter, the stadium went dark and play was suspended. According to Mike Tirico, who was doing play-by-play on the NBC broadcast, the banks of lights in the south side stadium needed to cool down.
The lights came back on about 20 minutes later with the Jets leading the Browns 16-14.
