The inaugural Moon Over Macomb: The Fall Festival will take place in Historic Downtown Macomb on Oct. 21. It will feature activities through the morning and evening.

“We look forward to the enhancement of the downtown experience for local families and tourists as we offer new components to Moon Over Macomb: The Fall Festival,” Downtown Development Director Savannah Ballard said in a news release.

The Moon Over Macomb event will feature a number of activities for everyone. According to Ballard, there will be a farmer's market, a costume parade for children and pets and a horse-drawn trolley ride. These events are returning from previous Moon Over Macomb events.

Fall-themed children's activities will take place at the Macomb Public Library, Western Illinois Museum and Macomb Arts Center. Another activity will be a local Art in the Alley display in Sullivan Way Alley.

Ballard said that Downtown Development has partnered with The Wine Sellers and Sullivan Taylor Coffee House to provide evening entertainment to the event by hosting live music from the WIU CMS String Ensemble at The Old Dairy in the morning and from Craig Corzatt from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at The Wine Sellers.

There will be fall-inspired catering by Feeding Forgottonia.
