Cincinnati weather: More showers, thunderstorms, with chance of large hail and tornado

More showers and storms are expected to move through the region Monday after Sunday morning's Flying Pig downpour, with the potential for some of the storms to become severe.

According to a hazardous weather outlook from the National Weather Service in Wilmington, showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop later today, mainly between 6 p.m. and midnight. Some of the storms may become severe, possibly producing heavy rainfall with a primary threat of damaging winds and large hail.

There is also the low possibility of a tornado.

Even with the rain, higher temperatures are here to stay this week. Monday's daily high is near 78, with Tuesday's near 72 and Wednesday's near 76.

Tuesday night through Thursday are the few clear days in the week's forecast, with the other days showing various chances of showers and thunderstorms.

Monday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3 p.m.

Monday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. Showers and thunderstorms likely before midnight, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between midnight and 3 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 a.m.
