What channel is the Bills game on? How to watch Buffalo Bills vs. Detroit Lions
ORCHARD PARK - For the third time in the last four seasons, the Buffalo Bills will play a starring role in one of America’s favorite football days of the year.
The Bills will complete their tour across all three Thanksgiving Day television windows when they take on the Lions at Detroit’s Ford Field for a 12:30 kickoff Thursday.
In 2019, they were the opponent in the annual 4:30 time slot as the opponent for the Dallas Cowboys - the other team, like the Lions, that always hosts a Thanksgiving game.

The Bills rolled past the Cowboys 26-15 in a game where, in many ways, Josh Allen first introduced himself on the national stage.
Last year, the Bills traveled to New Orleans for the 8:20 game, the only one of the three Thanksgiving games that rotates between different teams and sites.Against a banged up Saints team that started Trevor Siemian at quarterback, the Bills cruised to a 31-6 victory, though the memories of that one weren’t as good. That was the night cornerback Tre’Davious White blew out his knee.
Thursday will be the third time in franchise history the Bills have been Detroit’s Thanksgiving opponent.
Back in 1976, O.J. Simpson set the NFL single-game rushing record (since broken) with 273 yards during a 27-14 loss. That day, with quarterback Joe Ferguson injured, backup Gary Marangi completed 4 of 21 passes for 29 yards. Oh, what a time it was in Buffalo.
The other game in Detroit took place in 1994, a year in which - after four straight Super Bowl appearances - the Bills finally hit a skid and missed the playoffs for the first time since 1987. They lost to the Lions 35-21.
