Buffalo Bills undrafted free agent tracker after 2023 NFL Draft
The Buffalo Bills made six picks and four trades in the 2023 NFL Draft.
They're not done adding rookies. The Bills signed several more undrafted players hoping to find the league's next Antonio Gates or Wes Welker.
Here is the Buffalo Bills undrafted free agent tracker to follow who else the team signs:
Richard Gouraige, OL, Florida
His last name is pronounced like "garage" and the Bills will hope he can protect their prized possession, Josh Allen. The 6-foot-5, 306-pound Gouraige is experienced with 43 career starts. He was a full-time starter over the last three years, including 13 games as the blindside tackle last season. Gouraige allowed one sack in 343 pass-blocking snaps in 2022, according to Pro Football Focus.
Jordan Mims, RB, Fresno State
We'll never know if the Bills would've selected Texas running back Bijan Robinson (No. 8 overall) or Alabama running back Jahmyr Gibbs (No. 12 overall). The Bills didn't take a running back but they quickly added Mims after the draft. Mims will be 24 years old but will have a chance to compete for a roster spot on a Bills team that has only three tailbacks (Damien Harris, James Cook and Nyheim Hines). Mims ran for 3,285 yards and scored 45 total touchdowns for Fresno State including 1,372 rushing yards and 18 rushing TDs last year. He made first-team All-Mountain West Conference.
Tyrell Shavers, WR, San Diego State
Shavers is one of the tallest wide receiver prospects in the draft class at 6-foot-6, 210 pounds. His college career journeyed from Alabama to Mississippi State to San Diego State and he improved markedly with the Aztecs. Shavers made 38 catches for 643 yards and three touchdowns in 2022. This is the Bills' second undrafted free agent class in three years that will have players from San Diego State and Fresno State.
DJ Dale, DT, Alabama
Dale is an undersized − at least by NFL standards at 6-foot-1, 302 pounds − but was a reliable four-year contributor for Nick Saban at Alabama. He had 74 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks in his Crimson Tide Career. He made 12 starts during Alabama's national championship season in 2020.
Jalen Wayne, WR, South Alabama
Wayne is the cousin of former NFL star Reggie Wayne and has NFL measurables. He was a sixth-year senior who will be 24 years old on May 13 and has a high football IQ. Wayne made at least 33 catches in each of the last three seasons and had career highs of 58 receptions, 816 yards and nine touchdowns in 2022 to earn second-team All-Sun Belt honors.. NFL.com's Next Gen Stats ranked him the No. 36 overall wide receiver prospect.
Braydon Johnson, WR, Oklahoma State
The speedster started 10 games in his final year with the Cowboys, setting career-highs with 32 receptions and 566 yards. Johnson had seven catches of at least 40 or more yards, which was sixth-most in the FBS. He averaged 16.6 yards per catch in his college career and also played special teams.
Bryan Thompson, WR, Arizona State
Thompson, who turned 24 years old in April, is a sharp route runner who spent his final two seasons at Arizona State after four years at Utah. He made a career-high 25 receptions for 377 yards in 2022. His highest receiving yards output was 461 in 2019.
Noah Henderson, OL, East Carolina
The 6-foot-6, 319-pound Henderson is another seasoned Bills undrafted free agent. He's a big, physical run blocker. Henderson was a two-year captain and played in 35 games and 1,890 snaps at East Carolina. He missed the 2020 season with a back injury.
