Brooklyn Nets suggested to focus on Tyler Herro instead of Damian Lillard

When this offseason began, the Brooklyn Nets were hoping that Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard naming them as one of his preferred destinations would have resulted in a trade considering what Brooklyn has to offer a team like Portland. Now that Lillard has no interest in playing for the Nets, there are some suggesting that they should focus on another player.

In a recent article by Quenton Albertie of ClutchPoints, he suggests that Brooklyn should focus on trying to pull off a trade for Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro. This isn’t necessarily saying that the Nets should just negotiate with the Heat for Herro, but find a way to get Herro and possibly more as a return for being the third team that would help Portland and Miami get what they want out of the trade.

As of right now, little seems to be happening between the Trail Blazers and the Heat other than reports of what Miami’s offers to Portland could be. What is known is that Portland is uninterested in Herro so if the deal goes down at any point, Brooklyn could benefit from getting Herro and possibly more by having to be patient and flexible.
