Britney Spears' Fans Criticize Her Alleged Nose Job On Instagram
Social media has a lot of opinions about celebrity noses, and there seems to be a never-ending discussion on whether certain celebrities have gone under the knife (or simply had non-surgical rhinoplasties) to change the appearance of their noses. Gwen Stefani‘s nose was discussed on the @beauty.false Instagram account on June 21st; but Britney Spears‘ nose was also heavily talked about in the comments section too!
The post showed an older picture of Britney compared with a more recent one, with the more recent one showing the tip of her nose looking slightly slimmer and less bulbous than it did in the older picture. There were mixed reactions to the 41-year-old Grammy winner’s nose, as some fans didn’t actually think she had any work done, simply crediting makeup and tricks like contouring and highlighting. Others seemed to think that her nose looked better back in the day, which suggests that they thought that she underwent some sort of cosmetic procedure to change its appearance.
Fans Comment On Britney Spears' Alleged Nose Job
Many fans thought the "Hold Me Closer" singer looked better in the before picture, with one saying, "Britney didn’t need her nose done. They took away too much," and another replying, "Yeah I loved her old nose," followed by a crying emoji. "She looked perfect before why mess it up?!" asked another fan. Another said that Gwen Stefani and Britney "should have left their faces alone," which indicates that they too thought they looked better at the start of their careers.
Another fan didn’t think that her new nose was down to anything permanent, asking, "Is her nose not contoured with make up?" Others actually praised the "Circus" singer's nose, with one saying, "Britney looks amazing! Very natural and beautiful smile," followed by a red heart emoji and a fire emoji. And others didn’t see much of a difference in the older picture compared with the more recent one. "Ok but Britney actually looks like… the same?" commented one fan, as another added, "Britney looks the same… that’s why less surgery is the best option," followed by the heart eyes emoji.
What Has Britney Spears Said About Plastic Surgery?
Last year, in a now-deleted Instagram post, the "Gimme More" singer opened up to fans about plastic surgery, which seemed to have been prompted by a recent trip to a plastic surgeon to discuss potentially getting a breast augmentation.
"It’s crazy living in Los Angeles," the "Piece of Me" hitmaker said. "I was thinking about getting a boob job. My boobs are fairly small. I mean with the right bra it’s fine, but I was curious what a doctor would say!" After waiting too long to be seen and going home, Britney added: "I get home and go online and see the biggest stars getting facials with their facialists saying, 'People don’t believe but no filter! This is real!' This celebrity has done movies and all and is shot so beautifully… what the [expletive] is she trying to prove? I know she’s beautiful! I’ve seen her in person so it was weird seeing someone like her trying to convince people she’s naturally beautiful. Then I said to myself, 'I do the same, but I’m not nearly as beautiful as she is yet I kind of do the same thing!' I haven’t been shot well though."
The mom-of-two then went on to discuss her 13-year conservatorship, and how her father's comments negatively affected her self-image and self-confidence. "Yes, I do care and anyone would if you saw yourself the way I have," she also wrote in the same post. "My dad always told me I was fat, and being the heavy girl on stage wasn’t fun. It was humiliating!" She added: "I will admit I do play into how I look. I care but it disgusted me when I went to that doctor’s office because guys were there getting nose jobs! Really it’s too much!"
The "Toxic" singer doesn’t seem to be against plastic surgery, as she admitted that she visited the plastic surgeon to discuss getting a breast augmentation. However, she urged fans to do a lot of research before undergoing any procedures themselves, and also to try to learn to love themselves as they are. "Do your own research on these procedures and as hard as it may be learn to [expletive] love yourself," she ended her caption.
