NEENAH - Smoothies, bowls, juices, salads, sandwiches and oatmeal — Bona Fide Juicery has a lot of options when it comes to healthy cuisine and soon those options will also be available in Neenah.

Bona Fide Juicery will be opening its sixth location this August on the ground floor of 201 West, a new luxury apartment complex and retail space in downtown Neenah. The building, 201 W. Wisconsin Ave., has 39 apartment units and 5,000 square-feet of retail space. Bona Fide Juicery will share the retail apace with Urban Market Neenah, a market and café expected to open this fall.

Bona Fide Juicery was first opened in De Pere by co-owners Nicole Lindquist and Chris Strauss. The restaurant has expanded into Appleton, Bellevue and Howard. There is also a location inside Western Racquet & Fitness Club in Green Bay.

"The reason we wanted to open in Neenah was mainly because they don't really have any healthy options," Lindquist said. "We wanted to provide healthy grab and go options and made to order options.

Lindquist said they have regularly received requests to open a location in Neenah. She added that Neenah is similar to De Pere, where she and Strauss grew up.

"(Neenah) is a very familiar environment, just because it feels a lot like De Pere," she said. "It feels like home to us."

The business is expected to open in August, but Lindquist did not share a specific date. She said hiring for the new restaurant will start in the first half of July and they are planning to hire eight to ten employees.

Lindquist said each new location is better than the last, but that customers shouldn't expect any drastic changes between the Neenah location and their other restaurants. It will have the same menu and modern design.

She did not share whether there are any plans to open additional locations in future, but Lindquist did say, "never say never."
