Bengals beat former FSU football star Jalen Ramsey deep in Super Bowl. But was there a penalty?
One of the biggest matchups heading into Super Bowl 56 was Los Angeles Rams star cornerback Jalen Ramsey vs. Cincinnati Bengals rookie receiver Ja'Marr Chase.
But the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year made one big catch on the former Florida State defensive back in the first half. And shortly after halftime, another Bengals wideout, Tee Higgins, torched Ramsey for a 75-yard touchdown to give Cincinnati the lead.
But did Higgins have an illegal helping hand? Replays showed the receiver had his hand inside Ramsey's facemask, which could have resulted in a penalty and a negation of the touchdown.
Tee Higgins definitely got away with one. Grabbed Ramsey's facemask. pic.twitter.com/yg4yFxd9VY

Gator in the Super Bowl: Vernon Hargreaves called for penalty in the Super Bowl. He wasn't even active.
FSU in the Olympics: Cleared for COVID, FSU student Josh Williamson set to join Olympic bobsled teammates in China
NFL Opinion: MVP vote leaves a lot to be desired: 50 votes, no nuance and playoffs don't matter
Ramsey certainly thought so. Those following the Super Bowl on Twitter had varying thoughts on the situation, with some just happy to laugh at the expressive Ram.
Here's a look at Twitter's response:
Defending Jalen Ramsey
Cornerbacks need to form their own union. These are inhumane working conditions in a league that refuses to protect them. Jalen Ramsey should call OSHA

That’s a missed call if there ever was one. Wow. Tough break for Jalen Ramsey.

“Ramsey fell down” is the really nice way to say “the WR slung him to the ground by the facemask”
