Beaux Collins becoming Clemson’s most consistent receiver
In a season filled with trials and tribulations, Clemson’s offense had a bright spot last year with then-freshman wide receiver Beaux Collins. Now, with veterans like Justyn Ross moving on to new beginnings, Collins has quickly elevated himself to the team’s top wideout.
Collins finished last season with 31 receptions, 407 yards and three touchdowns. With his rookie year under his belt, he has impressed Clemson’s coaching staff in spring practice.
Clemson wide receiver coach Tyler Grisham has named Collins the team’s most consistent receiver and has expressed his confidence in the sophomore’s ability.
“I don’t have to watch him at practice,” Grisham said on Tuesday. “I can focus on the other guys because I can expect him to know what to do and to perform at a high level.”
With Collins blossoming into a potential star in the making, Clemson’s wide receiver room has the talent to be one of the best in the country.
