Bayside South honors top scorers, clutch defenders from thrilling soccer season
The 2022 fall sports season provided Eastern Shore fans with another exciting season on the pitch this soccer season, with plenty of star players and dominant teams competing against each other. The All-Bayside South teams were announced this week, recognizing those top players and coaches from this past season.
James M. Bennett's Luke Dunne was named the Boys Soccer Player of the Year for the Bayside South, as he led the way for the Clippers during their stellar season, in which they lost only two games and won yet another regional title. The Coach of the Year for boys soccer in the Bayside South was Stephen Decatur's Jamie Greenwood, who led the Seahawks to their first Bayside Conference title since 2011.
In girls soccer, Parkside's Kasey Wilson was recognized as the top player in the Bayside South, grabbing Player of the Year honors after the Rams made a run to the regional finals this year. James M. Bennett girls soccer head coach Edmund O'Leary was named Coach of the Year, as the Clippers not only grabbed a Bayside Championship, but also spent almost all of their season unbeaten before losing their first and only game during the regional playoffs.
