Aubrey Plaza gets 2023 Emmy nomination for HBO's 'The White Lotus,' against four costars

Delaware A-list actress Aubrey Plaza is nominated for an Emmy Award for her performance on HBO's dark comedy "White Lotus."  

The nomination is for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. Four of her "White Lotus'' co-stars, Jennifer Coolidge, Sabrina Impacciatore and Meghann Fahy and Simona Tabasco also are nominated in this category. Will Sharpe, who played her husband on the show, is up for Outstanding Supporting Actor, as are F. Murray Abraham, Theo James, and "Sopranos'' star Michael Imperioli.

The HBO hit is nominated for 23 nominations for its second season, including Outstanding Picture Editing for a Drama Series and Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series (One Hour).

Plaza plays Harper Spiller in the series, which won 10 Emmy Awards for its first season. 

"White Lotus" has been confirmed for a third season, according to Variety. Season 1 was set at a resort in Hawaii, while Season 2 took place in Sicily.

The 75th Emmy Awards will air on Fox on Monday, Sept. 18. Visit emmys.com.
