Ashley Graham Shows Off Her Pregnancy Stretch Marks, But This Time She's Naked
Ashley Graham has been an advocate for body positivity throughout her career, and she's sticking to those values during her pregnancy. In August, Graham announced that she's pregnant with her first child (just one month after appearing on the cover of Allure, we'd like to add). In the months since, she's shared her growing belly, stretch marks, and other changes in her body as openly as always. This weekend she even shared a naked selfie with fans. That's how committed she is to her body-positive message.
On Saturday night, Graham snapped the selfie while naked in bed, perfectly posed to reveal her belly and thighs.
Posted without comment, the photo shows Graham's growing belly and how proud she is of it. It's hardly the first selfie she's shared during her pregnancy. Last week, she posted a close-up of her stretch marks and bump. "Getting bigger and bigger and trying to embrace my new body everyday. It’s a journey and I’m so thankful to have such a supportive community," she wrote.
It's a joy to see Graham embrace this new phase of her life; it's an acceptance that she's been working toward for a long time. "My body has always been treated as a thing and not mine," she told Allure in July. "It was always about what others thought about my body, until I gained a voice. Now I get to tell people what I think of my body."
