The Athletic: Sleeping giant? Arizona State needs Kenny Dillingham to wake it from its coma
Ari Wasserman writes: "Arizona State doesn’t need a coach with a familiar name to trick fans into thinking it did something with this hire. It needs someone it can grow with. The 32-year-old Dillingham fits the bill in every way. The offensive coordinator at Oregon is an Arizona native who not only has ties to the Grand Canyon State but also is the owner of an ASU degree and an impressive resume. His age isn’t a hurdle. It is an asset, especially in a football culture in which young, offensive-minded coaches are in style and have found success at every level. He loves Arizona and wouldn’t be quick to bolt from The Valley once he builds something."
Athlon Sports: Kenny Dillingham a candidate for ASU football coaching position
Steven Lassan writes: "Dillingham is a coach on the rise and a native of Arizona. He has no experience as a head coach but previously worked as a graduate assistant in Tempe from 2014-15 and has garnered valuable experience as an assistant at Memphis, Auburn, Florida State, and now at Oregon as the offensive coordinator."

Draft Kings: Dillingham among top candidates for ASU football coach
Collin Sherwin and Nick Simon write: "The only assistant coach on this list is 32 years old, but his pedigree (currently OC at Oregon, formerly at Florida State, Auburn, Memphis) fits the profile of someone much older, and he’s an Arizona State alum that coached high school football in the area while getting his undergrad degree. Certainly a riser in the profession, he might be better off waiting for another opportunity as that is certainly coming. But the opportunity to come home might be too much to overcome."
Trojans Wire: Would Dillingham want ASU coaching job?
Matt Zemek writes: "Much like Grinch, Dillingham needs to thrive at Oregon and then consider a head coaching job. He is highly unlikely to take the ASU job. He would also have a better shot at the job if he did poorly this year. Doing well would only make him want to stay at Oregon and build his credentials."

Ducks Wire: Kenny Dillingham to ASU may not be so crazy
Zachary Neel writes: "Dillingham and his offense have been impressive early on. With an explosion on the stat sheet in the last two weeks, the Ducks’ young and aggressive OC has shown an ability to mix schemes, throw numerous personnel packages out there with success, and overall transform what was viewed as a boring Oregon offense in a matter of months. On top of all of this, you have to consider the Arizona factor for Dillingham — the 32-year-old was born in Phoenix, and he attended Arizona State and worked with the Sun Devils as an offensive analyst from 2014-15."
247Sports: ASU coach go young with Kenny Dillingham as its coach
Chris Karpman writes: "If ASU went totally to a young up-and-coming guy who’s a coordinator, I think maybe Kenny Dillingham at Oregon. He’s someone who has deep ties and probably would have a lot of booster support. He’s from Scottsdale. Kind of the old money crowd, big boosters, I think there’s going to be a push for him as a sort of an out-of-the-box candidate if they go with someone who’s really keen on young players, NIL and a lot of these things going on right now."

SI.com: Kenny Dillingham appealing head coach candidate for ASU
Max Torres writes: "If you look past the blowout loss to Georgia, Dillingham's offense has been a strength of the Oregon team for the past two weeks, showing signs of efficiency and explosion the Ducks have lacked in recent seasons. He's certainly a young candidate for the vacancy at just 32 years old, but his local ties to the state, recruiting savvy and offensive ingenuity could make him an appealing candidate for the Sun Devils."
Ducks Wire: Could ASU come calling for Kenny Dillingham?
Don Smalley writes: "A native-born son of Arizona and an alum at Arizona State, Dillingham is one of the hot young offensive coordinator names to keep an eye on. Oregon fans knew that he would likely get poached for a head coaching job within the next 5 years, but it could be the case that his alma mater comes calling in his first year with the Ducks."
247 Sports: Kenny Dillingham would be great hire for Arizona State
Blake Brockermeyer said: "He's from Arizona. I think that would be a great hire knowing that it's going to take a couple years, maybe even longer, to kind of get the program back. I think he would be a great hire and if I was Arizona State, that would be the first name I'd go to."
