Arizona State fire Ray Anderson movement has mobile billboards around ASU football stadium
How angry are Arizona State fans with ASU Athletic Director Ray Anderson?
Evidently angry enough to purchase mobile billboards with a message to fire him.
The billboards, with messages "#FireRayAnderson" and "Only you can save ASU athletics" have a link to a website behind a campaign for the ouster of Anderson, FireRayAnderson.com.
That gets right to the point.
Jared Payne, the fan behind the website and billboards, said that the billboards would be going around ASU's stadium throughout the night before, during and after the Sun Devils' season opener against Southern Utah on Thursday.
Payne took to X, the site formerly known as Twitter, to show off the billboards.

Want to see the #FireRayAnderson mobile billboard in person? After starting on Mill Ave at 4pm today the billboard will be at Tempe Marketplace near Red Robin at 5pm. It won't be there long because it has a stadium to circle, but feel free to come get a pic! pic.twitter.com/K6I4yqtPaW

Payne isn't alone in his desire to see the removal of Arizona State' athletic director, who is not popular for the way he handled the allegations of recruiting improprieties related to former head coach Herm Edwards and his staff, the way Edwards' firing was handled, nor how Arizona State just recently self-imposed a bowl ban for the 2023 college football season (among other complaints).

The No. 1 question I’ve been asked by ASU fans in the last two years?
Why is Ray Anderson still the AD?
I don’t know the answer other than it’s on Michael Crow. Fans are angrier than ever, and there is a new website dedicated to the subject. https://t.co/1l1MNf0IAK https://t.co/XSTEdLPV1A— Chris Karpman (@ChrisKarpman) August 31, 2023
The angst with Anderson has now risen to the level of mobile billboards imploring for his dismissal.
