Anthony McCarthy leads Twinsburg to basketball win; Collin Dixon propels Tallmadge to victory
BOYS BASKETBALL
Twinsburg 66, Aurora 53
Senior Anthony McCarthy scored 25 points Tuesday night to lead the host Tigers (13-2) to a win over a backyard rival.
Twinsburg junior David Coniglio contributed 10 points, and juniors Adam Williams and Brennan Hopp chipped in nine points apiece.
Aurora senior Tavion Pride scored 20 points and senior Johnathan Ugran had 17 points.
Tallmadge 50, Highland 49
Junior Collin Dixon put up 27 points to guide the visiting Blue Devils to victory. Tallmadge's Aaron Gergely scored 10 points and Ty Hurst added seven points.
Aaron Filips paced Highland with 24 points and Will Hoynes had eight points.
Brunswick 78, Nordonia 62
Brayden Hamilton scored 22 points, Thomas Krizsa contributed 21 and Cameron Cruz added 17 for Brunswick (13-5). Landon Naylor led Nordonia with 17 points.
Green 58, Canton McKinley 53
Senior Zack Oddo totaled 18 points, nine rebounds and three assists to lead visiting Green (16-2, 8-2) in a physical Federal League game at Memorial Field House.
"Playing in this environment and coming out with a scrappy win, it means a lot for our confidence,” said Oddo, who made 4 of 4 free throws in the final 2.8 seconds to conclude the scoring.
Green senior Trey Martin scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Sophomores Jarrett Taylor and Brady Rollyson and freshman Nikola Bundalo combined for 22 points and 17 rebounds for Green.
Juniors Jahlil Graham and Tra’Sean Foster scored 14 points apiece for McKinley (9-6, 5-4). Foster also had eight rebounds and four assists.
Jackson 64, Perry 23
Ben Sullivan scored 11 points, and Kevin James and Craig Lawrence added 10 points apiece for the host Polar Bears (10-7, 7-3) in a Federal League win.
Lake 48, GlenOak 45
Cam Horning and Landyn Roth scored 13 points each for the visiting Blue Streaks in a Federal League game. Chance Casenhiser added 10 points for Lake (11-6, 6-5). Ja’Corey Lipkins scored 13 points for GlenOak (6-9, 3-7).
Solon 69, Stow 57
The host Comets (13-4) buried 13 three-pointers, often from NBA range, to just three for the Bulldogs (8-8). Solon also went 10 of 11 from the free-throw line, including a perfect 6 of 6 in the final minute to ice the game.
Solon's Deon Miller and Rayquan Thompson scored 19 points apiece and Sam Marbury had 16 points. Miller scored 14 of his points in the first half, Thompson scored 13 in the second half and Marbury scored nine in the final quarter.
AJ Pestello led the Bulldogs with 16 points and four blocks. Nick Timberlake scored 13 points and Reece Raymond-Smith added 10.
Wooster 55, Copley 52
Blake Bowen and Micah McKee scored 14 points apiece to lead the host Generals to a win. Copley's leading scorers were Caleb Laurich (15) and Trent Wininger (13).
Massillon 61, Barberton 49
Elijah Farrington scored 21 points and Ardell Banks totaled 15 points and 14 rebounds to guide the Tigers (6-7). Tony Fox scored 26 points for the Magics (5-11).
Lake Center Christian 60, Kidron Central Christian 58
Ethan Bower made a contested layup at the buzzer to give visiting LCC a victory and bring his career points total to an even 1,000. Bower scored a game-high 26 points.
Matthew Warder added 15 points for the Tigers and Anthony Williamson had 11. Caden Granger led KCC with 21 points.
Mogadore 76, Springfield 61
The host Wildcats (11-5) won with Mason Williams (19 points), Layne Miller (17), Nicholas Coffman (11) and Aidin Hiney (11) all scoring in double figures. Springfield's Michael Fuller scored 28 points.

Manchester 39, Field 29
Emma Stamperd scored 13 points for the host Panthers and Mackenzie Moss chipped in 10 points. Delilah Rahe had 12 points for the Falcons.
BOYS BOWLING
Archbishop Hoban 2,418, East 821
Joseph Bee rolled a 253 game and Zachary Fahey had a 422 series to lead Hoban.
Copley 2,300, Brecksville 1,542
Copley's Jae’Anthony Wharton rolled a 243 game and Clay Clugsten had a 439 series.
