Alabama Softball’s Montana Fouts named Softball America’s Pitcher of the Year

Montana Fouts, Alabama softball pitcher, was named the 2023 Sports America Pitcher of the Year.

Fouts finished her final season in Tuscaloosa with a 25-11 record and a career-low 1.49 ERA. Despite an injury in the SEC Tournament, Fouts.

battled back to pitch for the Crimson Tide in both the Super Regionals and College World Series.

Fouts was Alabama’s ace on the mound in each of her five seasons at Alabama. She finished her college career with a 100-32 record and a 1.66 ERA.

Fouts was a four-time First-Team All-SEC selection. She was also named to the Women’s College World Series All-Tournament Team twice as well. Altogether, she has been the face of the softball program for her work on and off the field.
