Alabama Softball’s Jenna Johnson announces she will return for fifth season
Alabama outfielder Jenna Johnson announced that she would be returning for a fifth and final season in Tuscaloosa. Johnson revealed the news via her Instagram account on Wednesday.
Johnson has spent the past four seasons playing in the outfield for the Crimson Tide.
In 2023, she was named as a Second-team All-SEC selection and was a member of the SEC All-Tournament Team.
Johnson has a .273 career batting average at Alabama. She has also accounted for 11 home runs and 71 runs batted in.
Her return will mean a lot for the softball program next season. Super-seniors and team captains Montana Fouts, Ashley Prange, and Ally Shipman each exhausted their eligibility. Therefore, they will be unable to return next season and will explore their options at the professional level.
With the NCAA granting student-athletes an extra year during COVID, Johnson chose to return for a fifth year in Tuscaloosa.
Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow the Alabama softball program.
