After 33 years, Gyros West in Waukesha will close at the end of this year

After 33 years, Gyros West, at 1538 E. Moreland Blvd. in Waukesha, will close at the end of this year.

The family-owned Greek restaurant said in a Facebook post that they've reached an agreement to sell their location.

"During our remaining months of operation, we invite you to join us in celebrating the journey we’ve had together," their post said.

The property is currently still owned by Gyros West owners Kris and Peter Haideman, property records show, and its market value is listed at $612,739.

The post, which has over 400 comments from customers reminiscing on their times at the restaurant, said they'll provide updates about the future of the location on their Facebook and Instagram pages.
