2023 College World Series odds: Eight teams favored over Texas to win the title
Texas has a chance to advance to the College World Series when they visit the 8th seeded Stanford at Klein Field from Saturday to possibly Monday. The team is coming off of a decisive win vs. Miami, which saw them trail 3-0 at one point before eventually routing the Hurricanes 10-6. A Longhorns win in this next series isn't impossible, but the Cardinals do have a 45-36-1 lead in the record between the two schools.
Let’s look even further ahead though. What are the chances that Texas wins the whole thing? Not great, according to BetOnline, who has them with 16/1 odds.

Wake Forest and LSU lead the way as favorites, while Texas is tied with TCU and just below incoming opponent Stanford, who is listed with 14/1 odds to win. Despite this, the Longhorns have only been on the road for the super regionals three other times in their history, making the College World Series on each occasion.
