Players to watch: Brooks Gay, P, Sr.; Garrett Graham, P/OF/INF, Sr.; J.T. Thompson, INF/P, Sr.; Landon Williams, C, Sr.; Dante Cano, P/INF, Sr.

Coach Martin says: "We lost 10 seniors from last year's team, but we have a lot of competition on our team. We're looking for some young guys to step and take on that role. So far, we've been really pleased with the way things have happened."

Notes: Wylie will need to fill some big shoes. The Bulldogs finished second in District 4-5A behind Lubbock-Cooper (30-6, 15-0). Both are the favorites this season. Amarillo High, which won the region, took out Lubbock-Cooper in the region quarterfinals and Aledo in the region finals. Gay was a first-team pitcher last year, while Graham was a first-team designated-hitter. Williams and Thompson were both second-team selections.
