It's the most wonderful time of the year to go on an extremely extra vacation.
I might be biased because I live here and have been generally obsessed with all things NYC since the first time I watched Gossip Girl, but there really is something so magical about New York during the holidays. The entire city is covered in lights, the buildings look extremely romantic covered in snow, and you can do pretty much any wintery activity your heart desires—including reenacting your favorite Christmas movies. If you decide to come to the greatest city in the world (go ahead, @ me) for the holidays, make sure you hit up the Bryant Park Christmas Market, the Rockefeller Christmas tree, and the lights display at Saks Fifth Avenue. If it worked for Kevin McCallister in Home Alone 2: Lost In New York, it should work for you too.
