15-year-old suffers life-threatening injuries in Tuesday car crash
Mar. 30—A 15-year-old male suffered life-threatening injuries after a car he and three other teens were in lost control and collided with a tree stump in Austell on Tuesday, police said.
Just after 8:30 p.m., a red 2017 Nissan Maxima was driving south on Warren Drive approaching the Jones Avenue intersection when it lost control while entering a right curve. The car then collided with a stump in the front yard of a home on the 2200 block of Warren Drive, where the vehicle came to an uncontrolled rest, according to a press release.
The 15-year-old male was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, according to the release.
Another passenger in the car, a 16-year-old male, suffered serious injuries and was also transported to the hospital, police said. The other two teens, including the driver, suffered minor injuries.
