Here are the 10 best Peoria restaurants, according to TripAdvisor reviews

In August, TripAdvisor updated its list of the "best restaurants in Peoria."

Some restaurants on the list − including Johnny's Italian Steakhouse and Jonah's Seafood House − were located outside of Peoria, and the rankings include hundreds of places to eat.

The Journal Star narrowed the list to the 10 best restaurants in Peoria, according to the TripAdvisor reviews. Here they are from No. 10 to No. 1, based on thousands of online reviews.

10. Obed and Isaac's Microbrewery and Eatery

Originally built to house Second Presbyterian Church, Obed and Isaac's opened at this location in September of 2016. The historic building turned microbrewery and eatery offers "an ever changing list of brews," according to its website. The menu also features flatbread pizzas, salads, burgers and German-inspired entrees and appetizers.

9. The Fish House

The Fish House offers dishes such as New England clam chowder, lobster, crab and "land and sea" plates. For "a little of everything," try the Broiled Neptune's Platter, which includes lobster, crab cakes, scallops, tilapia and shrimp.

8. Jim's Steakhouse

Opened in July of 1960, Jim's Steakhouse has served Peoria for over half a century. At Jim's, customers can order aged steaks, pasta, seafood, salads and more. Jim's also offers a "Friday Night Date Night" special for $69.95.

7. Kelleher's Irish Pub

With more than 300 reviews, Kelleher's Irish Pub and Eatery comes in at No. 7 on TripAdvisor's list. Open for just over two decades, Kelleher's offers beer, whiskey and seasonal cocktail menus. For food, Kelleher's features fish and chips, shepherd's pie, soups, salads, wraps and an outdoor grill menu.

Connected was ranked No. 5 on TripAdvisor's list of Top Restaurants in Peoria. The fine dining establishment is also listed as a 2021 "Travelers' Choice."

House specialties include entrees such as the Costata D'Agnello, which is described as "domestic lamb chops seasoned with fine herbs, grilled to perfection." Connected also serves an array of pastas, soups and other entrees.

3. Alexander's Steakhouse
